“There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
Join me and like-minded souls from around the world as we come together to experience deep soul renewal, nourishing community support and radical self-expression. This just might change the way you paint forever…
I look forward to being your guide.

In my playful heart-centered workshops offered around the world, we explore a whole new way of painting (and being) from a space of freedom, non-judgment and experimentation. This process is about loosening up, letting go of expectations, having fun and allowing your art to unfold naturally. The emphasis is on finding your true voice and allowing your personal expression to bloom and grow with flow and ease. There are no mistakes here!

In a fully supported and safe environment, our soulful and luxurious days of painting are infused with music, poetry, ceremony, yoga, dancing, writing and heart circles. We gather with the intention to let go more fully, connect more authentically with ourselves and others, step more bravely into the unknown and invite joy back into the creative process…and into our lives!
Throughout the workshops, I demonstrate many of my personal painting techniques such as layering, dripping, stamping, expressive mark making, etching, patterning, drawing with paint and carving out imagery. I gently guide you with prompts through this fun explorative process, as I share tips about color combining, using translucent paints, finding your own voice, and bringing your paintings to life with variation and contrast. I also offer ways for becoming “unstuck,” moving through challenging moments and getting back in your creative flow.
Working on large canvases, we spiral between painting with wild abandon, boldly trusting in the unknown, and making more conscious choices about composition, personal imagery and color palette. We take many breaks to breathe deeply, stretch our bodies and re-connect with the present moment. Most importantly, we focus on what IS working and allow this to inspire the rest of the painting. These are process-based workshops that will empower you with a toolbox of new techniques as well as a new perspective to approach your creative journey (and your life)! Bloom True workshops are appropriate for all levels—from first-time painters to advanced professionals. All you need is an open mind. Trust. You are an artist already.

“This was the workshop I have been looking for all my life. The affirmations you keep giving of “everything is right, there are no wrongs” opens up the freedom to create, finally unlocking the doors of restrictions that myself and others have instilled in me. I found the freedom and now I have to fully embrace it.” -Tracey
“Flora is ever as lovely as all the blog posts have described. An enormous, high flying kite follows her, waving its banner of magic, wherever she goes. And her workshops will knock your socks off. Seriously.” Robyn Thayer
“I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed the workshop with Flora. To watch her demonstrate is mesmerizing. Her method of involving yoga, grounding and letting go truly lets your spirit fly. The process flows through her, through you and onto your canvas. Her nurturing ways lets you feel protected and validated. This was a magically juicy weekend. I feel very powerful and energized and this carries through to my everyday “normal” life. “-Kim Scheewe Kirk
